At INCA, our emphasis is not on arriving at host institutions and performing operations ourselves, but on teaching those operations to the host pediatric brain surgeons. Less invasive surgery (e.g. endoscopic techniques in the brain) are emphasized to add to the host surgeon’s existing skill set, in order to make available modern pediatric brain surgery to children without resources. These modern techniques have the potential to significantly improve the clinical outcomes of these children.
